As SIMPEC powers into 2021 with new projects awarded and scope of works increasing daily, we are now looking for an experienced HSE Coach to join one of our projects in Western Australia. About the Role

Reporting to the Project Manager you will be responsible for assisting in maintaining SIMPEC’s high Safety standards while also guiding and coaching our site teams. Your time will predominantly be spent on-site working a 2/2 roster fly in and out of Perth.

The person we are ideally looking for has a proven track record within the resources space and can demonstrate exposure working in a Tier 1 mining company environment.

  • Ensure full compliance of the safety management system with all applicable standards, legislative requirements, and client expectations.
  • Support the project team with compliance and site documentation requirements through coaching.
  • Undertake regular audits and maintain audit records.
  • Maintain ISO accreditation documentation and requirements.
  • Assist with SIMPEC’s internal and external audit and inspection processes.
  • Coordinate incident reporting and investigation processes ensuring all incidents are investigated and closed out appropriately.
  • Injury Management

To be considered for the role, you require the following.

  • Minimum of Cert IV in Workplace Health and Safety (WHS)
  • Experience within the resources sector
  • Internal Auditing qualifications are highly desirable.
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessing (highly desirable)
  • Drivers Licence and Construction Induction White Card
  • Strong understanding of HSE legislation and compliance requirements
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and relevant software applications
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate a proactive and solutions-orientated mindset.
  • Self-motivated with strong ability to multi-task conflicting priorities
  • Experience with MyOSH Database
  • Experience in Injury Management
