JOB DESCRIPTION

The Forest and Wildlife Officer will work with as an important member of the Hume team of the Office of the Conservation Regulator, and with key stakeholders to ensure the consistent, integrated and efficient delivery of planning and delivering environmental regulations, compliance and enforcement services.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to important and meaningful investigations and compliance operations that relate to wildlife, timber harvesting, fire prevention, use of public land and biodiversity protection.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

* The successful applicant will be required to become a DELWP Authorised Officer ensuring compliance with provisions of relevant legislation, undertaking investigations, enforcement and giving evidence in court as required.
* The successful applicant will be required to successfully complete Level 2 Client Interaction Defensive Tactics training, including OC spray component.
