Job Description

Complex Works Specialist
The Position:
The Complex Works Specialist role manages end-to-end completion of projects relating to both civils and network remediation. They will utilise the WFM system to track project milestones and assess SDP misses to determine validity. They will engage directly with SDPs to drive projects through to completion and escalate as appropriate when issues arise.
Key Responsibilities:

  • This role will proactively monitor and manage programs of work effectively to reduce EOT volumes through utilisation of and adherence to project principles of critical milestone management.
  • Responsible for OTD management of Service simplex handoff work orders post review by Tier 1 and Tier 2 for project creation and direct assignment to SDP.
  • The Complex Works Specialist will be responsible for effective management and communication with SDPs and will drive prioritisation within their program of work to meet PRD and keep all stakeholders informed.
  • This role will be required to meet minimum average project cycle times aligned with agreed performance measures, as well as managing aged profile of open projects.
  • The role will require assisting SDPs with communication and liaising to resolve issues such as land access, environmental or heritage issues etc.

Experience Required:

  • Degree or diploma in Engineering, Networking, Communications, Information Technology,
  • Relevant experience preferred in Telecommunication/Managed Network services/ Global Network Operation/Field operation services.
  • Experience in S&D operations who can apply business processes and system rules to drive business outcomes.
  • Sound understanding of FTTX technology and technician mobility
  • Strong communication & customer service skills
  • Project management skills (PRINCE or related)
  • Ability to multitask and proactively identify operational risks
  • Analytical skills to manage and monitor large sets of data and identify business and operational risks.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, ability to interpret data, and ability to provide pragmatic recommendations to mitigate business and operational risks.
  • Previous WFM solution experience and comprehensive and broad-based knowledge in creating innovative IT solutions to workflow problems.
