In this newly created role, you will join our growing Virgin Money Australia Digital team as a technical lead developer in defining the integration architecture and patterns and the successful design and development of API’s and micro services/integration services to be used with our API Gateway.

You will provide best fit architectural solutions for projects; provide technology consultation; assist in defining scope and sizing of work; implement the solutions; create technology differentiation; leverage partner technologies; participate in competency development with the objective of ensuring best fit and high quality digital technical solutions and creating thought leadership within the area of technology specialisation.

Other key responsibilities in the role include:

  • System and data analysis, architecture, and design
  • Data integration and workflow design
  • Software development, configuration and customization
  • On-Site and Post implementation support

Experience required:

  • Strong knowledge in working with Web services and API technologies (REST, XML/JSON, SOAP, XSLT)
  • Experience working in a DevOps and agile delivery operating model
  • Experience and knowledge of API Gateway product Layer7 or similar product
  • Experience on any enterprise service bus product is desired (Microsoft BizTalk server, WebSphere service Bus (WSB), MULE, Apache Service Mix, Oracle service bus)
  • Experience in ServiceFabric/ WFC - js - Swagger, RAML, and Open API frameworks
  • Experience with rapid prototyping and POCs/trials
