Packaging Assistant

Our global manufacturing client is looking for packaging assistant responsible for operational, day to day activities in packaging development in Laundry and Home Care as assigned by Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Contributes as a team member, working closely and proactively building relationships with members of the Local R&D team.
  • Support the Local R&D team to ensure high quality products are made in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Managing all defined work (Lab & Data Management) in category of competence/products/projects.
  • Collects technical data (e.g. packaging measurements) required for specifications, labelling and other
  • compliance requirements.
  • Conduct all analysis of packaging and evaluate the results.
  • Maintains accurate, up to date and secure records for all packaging and activities.
  • Draft instructions and prepare reports relating to laboratory testing.
  • Management of Lab consumables and maintenance for the ANZ Innovation centre.
  • Ensure that lab equipment / tools are calibrated and provide reliable results.
  • Assist in inspection of plant and other facilities or activities and report on standards.
  • Ensures legal and company policy requirements are met.
  • Maintains high standards of hygiene and housekeeping in the laboratory.
  • Safety - accountable for safety of self and others and develops and implements safe products and
  • Responsible for compliance and maintenance of processes used to support packaging development.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Engineering or comparable degree.
  • Relevant experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong computer skills e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Proactive approach
  • Common sense approach
  • Comfortable operating larger scale equipment
  • Teamwork
