An unquestioned global leader in Consulting, IT services and CX-centric Business solutions across the modern Enterprise & Government landscape, our client’s Banking & Financial Services (BFSI) domain practice has recently been ranked by a respected ratings agency as No.1 internationally based on criteria including: a focused GTM strategy; quality and relevance of their substantial Partnership Ecosystem; and the Industry-Leading Thought Capital they have engendered. They now wish to appoint a Banking Domain Expert to lead Consultancy engagements in Australia, expanding on the success of this powerhouse practice in their North American and European offices. This position can be based in Sydney (the preference) or Melbourne.

Reporting directly to the Global Practice Head of Risk & Compliance Advisory in Europe, this high profile role will enjoy creative licence and significant resources in building out the BFSI Advisory Practice in the ANZ region spanning Retail, Commercial & Corporate Banking. You will be responsible for conceptualising, positioning and leading engagements with an operational risk theme be it: digital transformation strategy and execution road mapping; software/infrastructure upgrades; assistance w/ GTM modelling and natural competitive advantage identification for various solution pockets; contract re-writes in response to legislative and governance dynamics;… all against the backdrop of massive upheaval in the global banking system as the digital and automation revolution takes full hold and operational risk comes under the spotlight. In essence, you will help shape the future of banking across the Retail, Commercial and Corporate Banking landscapes in building trusted relationships, steering advisory services and delivering high-end consulting services individually as well managing team outputs.

A terrific, rewarding appointment for ambitious consulting professionals who profile with:

  • Deep Banking domain expertise – you will ideally have 1-2 specific core areas among Retail, Commercial or Corporate Banking - Savings, Loans, Commercial, Corporate Lending, Cash & Payments, Trade Finance, or the like;
  • Proven success in designing and executing digital and transformation engagements for banks and financial institutions - anything from SDLC to Vendor Analysis / Selection, SI, Use Case methodology or Regulatory & Compliance imperatives; 
  • An acute awareness of the future challenges, risks and opportunities presented to the BFSI domain by the likes of LIBOR, Climate Change, FinTechs, AI, … and the solutions road map required, from strategy to the minutiae of operational execution; and
  • Experience selling to senior business and change stakeholders in BFSI firms spanning the full CXO suite across business and IT – this has probably been gained within an advisory function within a Big 4 Consulting house, a quality Research consultancy or perhaps a change management consultancy servicing the BFSI domain.
