This role is responsible for overseeing a team of Liability Specialists, Technical and Administration staff. The position also involves leading and supervising supporting the day-to-day work activity, training and development of a high performing and customer-responsive team.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work collaboratively with the Group Manager to develop and implement a pro-active, specialised approach to the determination and management of insurance claims
- Pro-actively supervise, develop and support team members ensuring team and organisational objectives are met
- Provide technical guidance in relation to the strategic appropriate management of claims
- Support Supervise the day-to-day work activity, training and development of a team of Liability Specialists Technical and Administration Fast Tracker Officers and support staff
ABOUT YOU
- Strong Understanding of worker’s compensation and/or insurance legislations with specific regard to liability of new claims and how to read a policy
- Strong understanding of the contract requirements and performance measures
- Knowledge of premium calculation and cost of claims impact
- People management skills, including team building, coaching, performance management and change management
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite products
- Experience managing and developing teams within a personal injury environment
