About the Role

Reporting to the Superintendent Shutdown Execution, the Material Logistics Coordinator is the interface for all stakeholders to support the shutdown execution activities.

You will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining a high profile in the promotion of safe working conditions and practices to ensure a safe working environment
  • Develop a range of documentation in preparation for shutdowns including crib times, bus timetables, onboarding presentations etc.
  • Coordination of shutdown facilities across the plant including liaising with contracts, infrastructure and various vendors
  • Assisting direct team with mobilisation and indirect team (NPI) with contacting vendors during shutdown to ensure mobilisation/demobilization changes are actioned including afterhours and emergency changes.
  • Using LRS to track arrival/departure of personnel and continuously monitoring for changes.
  • Organising S44 sign off for Job Owners upon arrival to site and maintaining a high level of documentation standard in line with regulations.
  • Use 1SAP to raise PR’s for all shutdown purchasing items and contact vendors directly to obtain quotes. Vendors include but not limited to Onsite, Blackwood’s, Budget and Thrifty.
  • Prepare and print all shutdown work packs while maintaining communication with MECOE regarding the anticipated delivery date.
  • General administration tasks for the team and assisting the Superintendent to deliver all required daily/weekly tasks.
  • Maintaining tracking registers and give updates accordingly. Registers include parts status, readiness tools, current projects, vehicles and rosters.

About You

To be successful in securing this exciting position at Area C as it embarks on significant growth, it is desired you have the following;

  • Logistics background desirable but not essential
  • Strong knowledge of 1SAP, LRS, Microsoft Suite, Workflow, AMEX travel platform, Microsoft Teams.
  • Exceptional time management and organisation skills
  • Energetic and positive attitude with ability to influence multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a busy environment and multitask
  • Ability to work within a team and develop relationships
  • Minimum of C class manual drivers licence


You will be based at our ‘Area C’ mine site on a fly-in fly-out 5D2X4D3X roster. Our Area C mine is located approximately 100kms North West of Newman, West Australia. The outstanding facilities at the FIFO village include; a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, netted cricket pitch, tennis and basketball court, beach volleyball court and recreation room including a pool table, darts, table tennis, TV and DVD player. All rooms at the village have their own ensuite bathroom, television, refrigerator and air-conditioning.
