Part of Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy & Fertilisers, our Ammonium Nitrate businesses manufacture and supply ammonia, ammonium nitrate and industrial chemicals to the Western Australian mining and resource sector.

About the Role

We are offering an Apprenticeship opportunity in the Electrical/Instrumentation field, reporting directly to the Reliability Group Leader. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to gain practical hands on experience in a busy plant environment.

As an Apprentice at CSBP, you will be mentored by experienced tradespeople who are keen to share their knowledge and support your development. You will gain experience working in our various operation plants with the opportunity to rotate into different plant areas, and collaborate with various teams within the business.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who will thrive in a culture that encourages innovative thinking, and who shares our CSBP values of integrity, collaboration, customer focus and accountability.

To be considered you will have:

  • Successfully completed Year 12 (with passes in Maths & English) and a pre-Apprenticeship, with relevant Electrical work experience (desirable but not essential).
  • A demonstrated commitment to studying and training.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment.
  • Valid Driver’s licence.
  • An understanding and commitment to occupational health and safety, including safe work practices in a workshop.
  • The commitment to prioritising your safety, and the safety of others in all practices.

You will also need to be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.

As part of the recruitment process for this role, you must be available to undertake a numeric, literacy and abstract reasoning test and attend a pre-employment medical which includes a Drug & Alcohol test.
