JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for Senior Policy Managers with a specialisation in the Energy Sector to work across the Public Sector in Victoria. We have plenty of roles that are just waiting for the right candidate to come along!
Location: Metro Vic & WFH
Contract Duration: 3 months, 6 months and 12 months
Hours- 38 hours per week
Pay- VPS 5 ($78- $103 per hour plus superannuation)
About the role:
These roles will require a diverse range of skills, including supporting the technical development of the energy efficiency activities incentivised under the program, working with legislation, and ensuring effective communications within the department and with government and external stakeholders.
Your profile will demonstrate:
- Effectively manage the team responsible for the relevant programs within the Energy Programs branch.
- Provide overall direction and support and lead delivery of key functions for the government to deliver on its energy commitments.
- Effectively manage workstreams, prepare and maintain project/program plans and seek technical input as needed, to support effective delivery of the work program within government frameworks.
- Provide sound and timely advice to internal and external stakeholders and prepare and present detailed reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions as required.
- Represent the Department at key internal and external decision making and policy forums, at conferences and national meetings and contribute to the direction of high level working parties and committees.
- Manage a program budget, facilitate the timely acquittal of funding and all relevant reporting.
- Contribute to strategic planning and problem solving in other parts of the division and group.
- Contribute effectively to building and maintaining a constructive culture across the branch, division and group, through the demonstration of positive workplace behaviours and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
Experience:
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline is essential.
- Experience or qualifications in energy efficiency, engineering, law, communications, energy economics, science or public policy is desirable.
