JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now seeking a Business Analyst to join our Queensland based client for a contract opportunity based in Brisbane City. Working as Business Analyst you will be responsible for implementing an industry standard Complaints Management system to facilitate an enhanced level of customer services with the voice of the customer, influencing and shaping decisions on policy, products and services changes. Responsibilities include:

  • Develop artefacts such as business requirements, documents, specifications and process maps;
  • Applying business analysis techniques and tools to document requirements, objectives, outcomes, processes, procedures, work instructions and workflows;
  • Assessing risk on any new and changed systems/processes and recommending controls where required;
  • Supporting the end-to-end procurement process, through specification, go to market, evaluation and assessment;
  • Demonstrated ability in scoping requirements and preparing business cases, and gain agreement on the implementation approach;
  • Demonstrate experience in and exposure to project management activities including project management methodologies and practices, preferably applying the PRINCE2 and Agile project management methodologies;
  • Take ownership of business analysis initiatives and ensure work packages are delivered on time, to expected quality standards and as per scope, as agreed with the Project Manager;
  • Conducting workshops with elicit requirements;
  • Undertake and support testing activities including preparing and executing test plans and cases; and;
  • Ability to plan, conduct and pull together findings from workshops with stakeholders to elicit requirements and translate these into procurement requirements.

Skills required:

  • Demonstrating experience in supporting large ICT procurement processes as part of a small project team;
  • Experience in translating technical user and business requirements into criteria for procurement;
  • Understanding the principles of change management and ideally supported by practical experience implementation of change;
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing high quality written reports and presentations;
  • Ability to gather and investigate information from a variety of sources, explore new ideas and different viewpoints;
  • Excellent written and verbal skills as a Business Analysis working with business requirements; and;
  • Ability to plan, conduct and pull together findings from workshops with stakeholders to elicit requirements and translate these into procurement requirements.
