Motor Mechanic

Business Background

Jag Auto is an automotive repair company operating in the Sunshine Coast Region. We are looking for an experienced motor mechanic to join our team.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

• Running diagnostic tests on vehicle engines and other components and analyzing diagnostic test results
• Examining, disassembling, and repairing of inoperative vehicle parts such as brakes, engines, suspension, steering and other components
• Rearranging the automotive parts in its original condition after the repairing is completed
• Recognize faulty vehicle components and replace with similar parts as per the vehicle make and model if the parts are irreparable
• Perform test drive of the vehicles after the repair is done in order to ensure that the issues have been resolved and that the parts are performing well
• Organizing servicing and maintenance of vehicles for early detection of issues
• Perform basic vehicle servicing such as changing oil, giving tune-ups, checking fluid levels, and rotating tires
• Communicate with customers to understand issues, concerns and provide work estimates
• Maintain equipment and tools in good condition and ensuring that the cleanliness is maintained at all times

Qualification and Experience

· Minimum Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or higher

· Able to work under pressure

· Ability to work with minimum supervision

· Team player and can-do attitude

· Reliable and punctual

Salary Package: $50,000- $60,000 plus super per annum
