 Child and Family Health Nurse - New Directions Team

The New Directions Team comprises of Child and Family Health Nurses and Aboriginal Health Workers who collaboratively work to provide a culturally safe Child and Family Health service to Aboriginal mothers and children from 0-6 years within the Cessnock LGA. 

About the role:
This role will see you working in partnership with Aboriginal Health Workers (AHW) within their scope of practice, to promote and provide comprehensive culturally appropriate child and family health service. The successful applicant will be required to complete an orientation program and will be supported by clinicians within mainstream Child and Family Health Nursing team as well as Clinical Nurse Consultant HNE LHD Aboriginal Child and Health Program.

About you:
We are looking for a Registered Nurse who is experienced in Child and Family Health Nurse and is committed to working in partnership with families to improve health outcomes of Aboriginal mothers and children. You will possess a graduate certificate or equivalent in Child and Family Health Nursing and have extensive experience in Child and Family Health Nursing.
