Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Visiting Medical Officer to join our team at Concord Repatriation General Hospital.

We are looking for a Visiting Medical Officer in Orthopaedic Surgery (Foot and Ankle)! The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Orthopaedic Surgery and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Orthopaedic Surgery Department and Hospital as required.

The Visiting Medical Officer will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development. 
 

The Visiting Medical Officer in this position will be required to support a regular foot and ankle surgery operating list, a regular Outpatients Clinic and to participate on the on call roster. Other requirements include teaching of medical students and training registrars. 
 
 
The successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, and have Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (Orthopaedics), or equivalent.
 
 
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Public Hospitals Visiting Medical Officer Determination.
