About us

Transport for NSW (TfNSW) is the lead agency of the NSW Transport cluster. Our role is to lead the development of a safe, efficient, integrated transport system that keeps people and goods moving, connects communities and shapes the future of our cities, centres and regions. We work with several government agencies to coordinate road, rail, bus and maritime services, always keeping the safety and comfort of our customers at the heart of what we do.

About the team

The Customer Strategy and Technology Division (CST) within Transport leads the development of long-term, multi-modal strategies, plans and policies across NSW. We leverage data and insights, implement new technologies, drive innovation and build partnerships to provide customer-centred solutions.

The Technology and Innovation Branch of CST, are leaders in the field of digital transport and payment platforms.They deliver Opal products, websites, apps and digital features that customers use to plan, book and pay their transport journey across NSW.

The Opportunity

The Executive Director, Connective Journeys, will oversee and provide strategic leadership to the Connective Journeys function.

This role will drive engagement with customers, stakeholders and the community around integrated transport choices and will oversee exciting cutting edge and world class transformation programs. This includes the transformation of the mobility as a service program (Maas), the transformation of the opal ticketing system to a service platform across all modes of transport and the integration of transport information into digital technology experiences for customers.

You will ensure that TfNSW delivers cutting edge products and sets the standard as a world class customer service provider.

The position will be based between Macquarie Park and Parramatta. TfNSW is an activity based work environment, with flexible work options available.

About you

We are looking for an individual with demonstrated experience at a senior leadership level and a proven track record in the transformation and delivery of digital payment platforms. You will be a courageous change leader and a true relationship focused business partner.

You will have an expert understanding of customer and operational technologies.
