About us

Training Alliance Group (TAG) is a leading provider of education and employment services in Western Australia, providing quality training across a variety of sectors and supporting individuals to achieve their employment and education goals.

Within the employment services portfolio, TAG delivers the Transition to Work program throughout Perth North and Perth South, with 11 full time sites, aimed at supporting participants into employment, education, and/or training.

The Role

Due to continued growth of the program we are seeking a Career Advocate for our office located at Mandurah.

The Career Advocate will be responsible for engaging with and assisting the young job seeker build the foundations for a sustainable career. The Career Advocate is a key person within the program. They are responsible for the management of activities, both group and individual, designed to encourage and support the young job seeker in their pathway to a career. This is an employment driven program and will suit an applicant that thrives in a competitive workplace.

Key Selection Criteria

To be successful in the position above, you must have experience in or possess the following attributes:

  • Appropriate qualifications in a youth related, business development or humanities field (desirable);
  • Have passion or experience in working with young people from a variety of backgrounds;
  • Able to work in an autonomous environment;
  • Have knowledge of the local labour market, community groups and local stakeholders;
  • Be a results driven and motivated individual with a high level of initiative;
  • Be able to work to KPI and deadlines;
  • Possess excellent administration and time management skills;
  • Some intra-state travel will be required for some roles.

Successful applicants must satisfy a pre-employment check including an AFP National Police Check and a Working with Children Check.
