Reputable Melbourne-based firm, are seeking an experienced Analyst & Financial Modeller to contribute towards strategic decision making initiatives.

About the Company
Our client is a highly prestigious organisation, who have been established in Melbourne for over 30 years. With both domestic and international operations, the company are looking to expand and diversify their business interests. After experiencing sustained growth over a long period of time, they are now looking for an experienced Analyst to join their Finance division.
About the Role
Sitting within the Finance team and Reporting to the Executive Director & CFO, the role of Senior Analyst exists as a pivotal role in the strategic direction of the business moving forward. Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct sound Financial Analysis and report on the findings
- Financial Modelling (both from existing templates and from scratch)
- Budgeting, Forecasting and Business Performance Reporting
- Conducting Due diligence work on prospective investments
- Presentation of key findings to relevant stakeholders
- Ad hoc process improvement, including the streamlining of existing processes and the upgrade of current financial models
- Liaise and foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders
About You
This role will suit an individual with keen interests and experience in Financial Analysis and Modelling, who wants to secure a role in which they can contribute to the genuine long-term strategic direction of a business. Ideally, you will be:
- Big 4 / Mid-Tier trained CA, within either Transaction Services or Deals Advisory
- OR Experience with an Merchant/Investment Banking environment
- Experience in Retail/FMCG/Investments environment is highly desirable
- Experience in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and IPO/Trade Sale activities
- Highly proficient in Financial Modelling (Excel and Jedox)
- Excellent analytical & problem-solving ability
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (presentation to high-level stakeholders)
- Dynamic and comfortable handling strict deadlines, with ability to manage workload effectively
