How will I help?

As a Senior Manager - HR Audit, you will execute independent reviews of controls, frameworks, systems, policies and procedures across the Westpac Group, identifying areas for remediation and opportunities for enhancement.

Your Key Accountabilities Will Include

  • Supporting the internal audit planning for the Human Resources portfolio, including identification of key processes, risks and controls for testing. In addition you will also be accountable to manage some projects for the internal audit function for treasury and finance
  • Identifying board level insights, focusing on highest risk areas and influencing a stronger control environment
  • Managing and executing audits end-to-end
  • Determining scope for testing the design and operating effectiveness of controls based on risk
  • Participation in Group Audit Strategic Priorities and continuous improvement initiatives

What do I need?
  • Exposure to key aspects of Human Resources function in Financial Services, including remuneration, conduct, talent acquisition, workplace health and safety
  • Proven experience in assurance (internal or external audit), consulting Risk (1LOD or 2LOD), or HR operational roles.
  • Knowledge of Australian Human Resources regulations is highly desirable
  • Analytical skills and data analysis and/or interrogation experience
  • Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce / Human Resources / Risk Management or equivalent field
  • Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia, Certified Practising Accountants or Institute of Internal Audit desirable
