Your opportunity

To bring this vision to life, we have an opportunity for a National BIM Manager to join our Scentre Group Design team, supporting a number of exciting projects in our portfolio in pursuit of extraordinary design outcomes.

You will be from an architectural background with proven experience in the delivery of complex projects using Revit, prior to moving into BIM Management. The role requires that you will take ownership of all things BIM and actively coach our teams to improve their skills and our efficiency in output.

You will own our BIM operating systems, standards and guidelines and ensure optimisation of output from our project teams. Coaching, training and upskilling staff will be a key element of the role to ensure our teams are at the forefront of BIM.

This is a permanent role, which will be based in our Sydney Support Office, located conveniently above Westfield Sydney.

A snapshot of your role:

  • Establishes the operating systems, standards, guidelines and induction of new staff for integrated design and delivery of projects and the maintenance of existing assets using BIM;
  • Continually audits & maintains the BIM systems, assessing policies and procedures remain relevant and or new opportunities are identified for BIM efficiency;
  • Proactive in assisting project teams in setting up design and documentation BIM systems, Execution Plans and libraries to ensure maximum efficiency of output from the BIM;
  • Provides technical support to project teams for BIM software;
  • Communicates the BIM roadmap to all D&C teams on a regular basis and establishes a regular forum and formal system for feedback to implement continuous improvement.

 

Industry Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Recognised architectural degrees for Architects; Diploma or Certificate qualification from recognised institutions for Architectural Technicians.
  • Good design sensibility and appreciation with a commitment to achieving the best possible design outcome.
  • Experience in design phases from concept through to delivery.
  • High proficiency in Revit is a must; knowledge of BIM360, Navisworks and Dynamo is highly preferable.
  • Good problem-solving skills, independent thinking and curious.
  • Strong leadership, management and communication skills, with the ability to build key relationships with our teams.
  • Sound knowledge of construction, codes, compliance.
  • Retail and large project experience preferred.
