Deniliquin RSL Club is located in the Southern Riverina of New South Wales, it is the major Club in Deniliquin with over 6500 members

Now seeking following position;

Position: Chef

Full Time

Salary $54,000

Job brief

We are looking for an experienced Chef working in the main kitchen assisting with the preparation and service of meals for Bistro and function menus.

The goal is to enhance customer satisfaction so that we can maintain and expand our clientele and memberships.

The successful candidate will bring creative food ideas to satisfy our regular clientele. We are seeking candidates with superior culinary skills with flair & passion for food.

Responsibilities -

  • Can ensure the quality and consistency of food products produced
  • Create new and exciting dishes to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers
  • Monitor stocks for kitchen ingredients and make appropriate orders within budget
  • Prepare menus in collaboration with Head Chef and colleagues
  • Follow the guidance of the Head Chef on cuisine and have input in new ways of presentation of dishes
  • Ensure strict health and hygiene standards
  • Supports and guides the kitchen team
  • Demonstrates and advises on cooking procedures to our kitchen team

Requirements –

  • 2 Years’ experience minimum
  • Culinary school diploma
  • Proven experience in a Chef role
  • Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • Knowledge of best cooking practices
  • Candidates must have strong verbal communications skills, and be able to deal with clients and staff at all levels
  • Proven experience In depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition
