Reef Star Tour Service Pty Ltd is a Cairns local tour operator and charter company, offering tour services to both wholesale and FIT customers, with a focus on customers from China.

The company has an exciting opportunity for a permanent full-time Marketing Coordinator to join our small and dedicated team. This role is based in Cairns. Annual salary will be $55,000-$60,000.

Job tasks and responsibilities

As a Marketing Coordinator of the Reef Star Tour Service, you will be expected to build strategic relationships and partner with key local suppliers, Australian inbound operators, and international outbound operators. You will assist the manager in the target delimitation for products and services and oversee market material to ensure the consistency of planned marketing strategies.

· Develop, implement and monitor marketing strategies and advertising campaigns that create and increase company awareness

· Responsible for planning, developing and implementing advertising and marketing policies and programs to support sales objectives

· Prepare and coordinate production of promotional materials in both English and Chinese languages

· Prepare marketing reports by collecting and analysing consumer and sales data and monitoring consumer trends and preferences in the tourism industry in Australia and China

· Undertake research to identify new market opportunities to support business growth

· Facilitate internal and external communications

· Engage and leverage partnerships with the company's agents in China

· Provide recommendations on sales and marketing strategies

· Liaise with operation manager to coordinate and supervise marketing activities;

· Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, clients and stakeholders.

Skills and experience

The ideal candidate will have:

· 2+ years' experience in the tourism marketing

· tertiary qualifications in marketing or relevant field

· familiarity with the FNQ (CAIRNS) tourism industry

· proficiency in both written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin)

· flexibility to travel interstate and overseas

· Demonstrated experience working with computers and software programs such as Microsoft Office, etc.
