Quality Control Technician

HOBAN in conjunction with an innovative Civil Aviation Manufacturer are seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician to join their newest hub in North Brisbane location.

This exciting entry level opportunity is for a technically minded individual who has a passion for remote control vehicles and aviation technology.

In order to be successful within this role, we are seeking the following skills & experience:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in performing electrical and mechanical inspection and repair
    Experience on remote control vehicles and devices highly desirable
  • High Attention to Detail and Process Orientated
  • Ability to support Field Quality Engineers & Service Centre Engineers as needed during Inspection Instructions and Checklist Development
  • Experience with Incoming Quality Inspection
    Inspection of incoming aircrafts, components and field returned aircrafts following established inspection instructions and criteria during IQC
  • Repair and rework of small unmanned aircraft and associated system components using best practices and manufacturer procedures/directives.
  • Document the inspection and repairs results in the production and inventory systems
  • Reporting of quality issues identified during inspection to Field Quality Engineer and Service Centre Engineers
  • Coordinate inventory movements between warehouse & repair centre.
  • Properly tag and quarantine rejected airplanes or components in designated areas.
  • Recover and refurbish end-of-life devices and components/parts.
  • Maintain inspection gauges and tools ensuring they are in good condition
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures

With the potential lead to permanency, on offer is an ongoing work assignment (Monday - Friday) and an attractive hourly rate plus Superannuation and Penalty Rates for Overtime. The successful applicant would be available to start in late March / April and be able to spend two weeks training in NSW at commencement of assignment.
