About the role:

The role sits in the Safety Services team within the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Division in the Human Resource Department. The Safety Services team coordinates various high-level meetings, implements health and safety initiatives and coordinates enhancements to the organisation's health and safety management system. The Administration Officer role plays a pivotal role in supporting the team to achieve its objectives through the delivery of superior administrative and secretariat support. The role reports through to the unit Inspector.

Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and support flexible working arrangements.

Your duties will include:

  • General administrative support and secretariat duties;
  • Minute taking at high-level meetings;
  • Prepare briefings and correspondence;
  • Undertake ad-hoc task as requested.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Prior administrative experience in a corporate environment;
  • Well-developed minute taking skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast pace environment;
  • Ability to liaise confidently with stakeholders at all levels in the organisation.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • The position location is Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
