Shift Supervisor - Modern Fmcg Production (12 Month Contract)

Manufacturing & Industrial
Source: uWorkin

The Opportunity:

As a shift supervisor who has experienced probably the best and worst of production sites, you'll already know what you want and don't want. What you like and detest about such cultures.

This company is working hard to buck the cliché. No boys club, no nepotism, no putting up with nonsense. Working here is about brining out the best in you and the people around you.

Right now, leadership and ideas are what is needed. The experience and ingenuity of an experienced hand who wants to make a difference and has one eye on moving up to the next level in the coming years.

Even though this is initially a 12-month contract, you will be treated like a permanent member of the team. Valued, upskilled, encouraged to challenge and learn.

Their growth is significant and forecasted to increase production by at least 30% in the next financial year. This alone requires creative and innovative thinking.

The Details:

  • You'll manage a team of 9, they'll look to you for direction and more importantly decisive leadership.
  • Minimising down-time is essential as is ensuring high standards of safety and care.
  • You'll be engaged to make active contributions to process improvement for a plant with a serious growth strategy.
  • Collaboration will take place with other plants across the country so you'll play a part in the active learning and knowledge sharing nationally.

Minimum We need from You:

  • Supervisory experience in a high-speed manufacturing/logistics/production environment. Even a Senior Tech with some experience standing in for a supervisor.
  • Evidence of contributing to process improvements and being creative around problem solving.
  • Working knowledge of lean principles and their application within a plant environment.
  • The belief you can be better and those around you can improve with the right encouragement.
