We are looking for a Marketing Intelligence Assistant to assist the team in all aspects of research, marketing intelligence and learn all market research skills combined with media knowledge.

This role will be responsible for assisting on projects, including management of research fieldwork, data analysis and report preparation. With huge mentoring and coaching opportunities from senior researchers, you will have experience in the delivery of our Performance with Integrity ambition across OMD's clients. As your knowledge increases you will interact with clients and gradually, under guidance, take on end-to-end projects by yourself.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work across projects within quantitative and qualitative market research, social listening, and competitive intelligence
  • Conduct research audits prior to, or as part of, projects, using our breadth of market intelligence resources
  • Administer end to end coordination of assigned projects
  • Understand project specifications and requirements and work with the Marketing Intelligence team to prepare the project plan
  • Execute the project plan within required timeframes and quotas
  • Design questionnaires and discussion guides for quantitative and qualitative research
  • Prepare related stimulus material for testing
  • Build relationships with field operations, liaising with them to prepare field work quotes and commence field work

Whilst full training for the role will be provided, the successful candidate requires the below skills:

  • A curious mind and genuine passion for understanding consumers, brands and categories through research
  • An outgoing, 'can do' attitude and a willingness to learn
  • Tertiary qualification in marketing, psychology, economics, statistics or any business or science degree that has an analytical and statistical focus
  • Strong attention to detail and highly analytical
  • Flexibility and the ability to work across various projects, clients, and industries
  • Sound understanding of quantitative and qualitative research techniques and statistics
  • Good knowledge of the MS office suite: Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, statistical software Q
