About the Opportunity:

Food is a key part of our daily life and Goodman Fielder plays an essential role in providing high quality fresh food to our customers and consumers. Regardless of the current climate, we are growing and still investing in our people, resources and capability. As such, we are looking for an ambitious and result orientated National Account Manager to be based at our head office in Macquarie Park. You will be an integral member of the retail sales team, responsible for maximising sales and gross profit across the Independents business on a select number of categories. You will be accountable for all aspects of internal controls and reporting of trade spend management, promotional planning, demand planning, NPD tracking and sales forecasting.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead Joint Business Plan (JBP) category initiatives and implement with Metcash trading managers.
  • Consistently review the in-year plan and financial metrics, and prioritise the requirements based on risks and opportunities in order to meet calendar year financial budget
  • Align cross functionally with Category/Commercial to deliver optimum strategy for the customer
  • Leverage Shopper insights to lead Category thinking with the customer
  • Work cross functionally with Marketing and Category to develop and drive NPD to market.
  • Create and execute customer seasonal sales drivers to deliver incremental gross profit and Volume
  • Strategic direction to state customer managers to engage MSO's and State Metcash

About You

  • 3+ years' experience in Account Management
  • FMCG experience, ideally with Independents/Metcash business
  • Knowledge of category insight, preferably worked with Aztec or similar
  • Strong commercial acumen and planning capability
  • High levels of tenacity and resilience, with a results orientated mentality
  • Strong Problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking 
  • Creative, driven and motivated with solid sales experience
