The Group Procurement team is responsible for leveraging Amatil’s buying power in goods and services, unlocking value from the supplier base and managing procurement. Collaborating across business functions, they lead the development and maintenance of relationships with key suppliers and negotiation of contractual arrangements. Throughout their activities they constantly seek to identify opportunities across businesses by facilitating innovation in supply and increasing procurement capability across Amatil.


An exciting role exists for a Procurement Analyst / specialist to join our team based in North Sydney.

Reporting directly to the Group Procurement Manager - CoE, the Operational Procurement Analyst/ Specialist is responsible for supporting the operational procurement processes and systems across the Australian Amatil businesses. Through support and education, the Operational Procurement Analyst/Specialist enables compliance to the Amatil procurement policies & processes while improving the buying experience for both procurement and business users.

In this role, the Procurement Analyst / Specialist will support internal and external stakeholder enquiries relating to the Ariba Network and help drive the delivery of procurement projects and initiatives. A key requirement of the role is to champion and deliver on the wider Amatil Procurement vision and strategy.

This role will suit someone who enjoys interacting with and providing support to individuals. The ideal candidate will have a continuous improvement mind-set who can drive or assist in the delivery of identified initiatives.

In addition, you will also assist in the development and support of procurement systems (particularly the Ariba Network) and identify improvement opportunities to ensure Amatil procurement processes remain effective and efficient.


  • Responsible for providing operational procurement support to all members of the Amatil Procurement team on an as required basis.
  • Support Amatil Procurement in identifying improvement opportunities across the operational procurement policies, processes and systems and assist in the delivery of relevant initiatives.
  • Improve business users experience of Amatil's framework for managing 3rd party spend (internal stakeholders & suppliers)
  • Embed the Simple Buying Framework into the business and empower them to actively manage their costs
  • Work with other members of the Procurement team to develop their operational procurement capability, providing practical support and guidance to help them achieve their goals
  • Support and champion operational procurement best practice processes, systems and tools across the Amatil Group.
  • Facilitate, educate and support Amatil’s super-users community for “Buying@Amatil”


You will ideally have a minimum 2+ years analytical / operational support experience. You will also have strong problem-solving skills, exposure to project co-ordination & governance and superior communications skills. Experience using the Ariba Network is essential. You will be confident in managing key stakeholders and can manage multiple projects with competing timelines.

Additional Skills:
