Source: uWorkin

The Country Fire Authority (CFA) is one of the world's largest, and most highly regarded, community-based emergency services organisations. We are proud of the work we do in protecting lives and property, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. CFA strives to be a values-based organisation and an organisation of choice for volunteers and employees, where people with a variety of skills, experiences and backgrounds all add value through the roles they perform.

About the Role:

Reporting directly to the Executive Manager Organisational Development and working right across the organisation, you will be responsible for providing thought leadership, expert consultancy and leading the development of key strategies, policies and interventions in the areas of Performance and Talent Management.

The role will see you designing and implementing a performance and talent framework to drive a high-performance culture - providing specialist advice to key stakeholders, including senior CFA Leaders, to support the shift to a culture of performance and accountability. You will co-design a performance solution that enhances member and employee experience including a redefined approach that combines the setting of clearly defined goals, objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs) and measurements with regular monitoring, feedback and evaluation. Identification, assessment and retention of talent, succession planning and identification of business-critical roles is also an important part of the role.

About You:

To succeed in this key role, tertiary qualifications in Organisational Development, Human Resources or a related discipline are a clear preference and recent relevant industry experience in a Senior OD role, including the provision of expert consultancy services and advice across a complex organisation is essential. You may come from a variety of industries although knowledge of government sector performance frameworks would be helpful - most importantly you will be an innovator and a thinker with very strong knowledge and experience of contemporary Performance and Talent Management practice.

You will display superior experience in designing, leading and managing organisational development initiatives and programs specifically in the fields of leadership, performance and talent management. Further to this, your stakeholder engagement and partnering skills will be exceptional and you will have a strong understanding of broader OD and HR strategies and concepts and their application in large and complex organisations.

This is a superb opportunity to join a high-performing team in an admired organisation.
