TEAM LEADER (VEHICULAR MOVEMENT)

  • Annual Salary Range: $101,120 - $122,348 plus super
  • Tenure: Fixed Term [22nd September 2021]
  • Employment Type: Full Time (flexibility may be available)
  • Usual Work Location: Burwood East (flexibility may be available)

About the Opportunity

This role leads the Vehicular Movement team to identify and respond to safety and operational matters on the Region's road network in relation to cars, trucks and on-road public transport.

The primary purpose of this role is to motivate and develop a team that provides high quality transport and road safety advice to a range of stakeholders including the Minister for Roads and Road Safety

About You

As our ideal candidate, you will have the following:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications- bachelor's degree in engineering, planning or another relevant discipline.
  • Effectively lead, manage, motivate and develop employees to ensure the timely delivery of key business outcomes.
  • Exercise independent judgement to challenge the status quo (established processes) and develop and implement new and improved ways of doing things, resulting in the creation of new and improved ways of doing things.
  • Make decisions that demonstrate political awareness and balance the competing priorities and needs of various stakeholders.
  • Establish and promote a self-actualising team environment by coaching, encouraging, stretching and supporting staff to develop their capability through practical application on high profile issues and projects.
  • Effectively engage with and influence key stakeholders such as internal business areas and external community groups, to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge and understanding of the diverse range of responses to change and is flexible enough to work with a variety of individual needs and emotional stages.
