JOB DESCRIPTION

• Location: Melbourne, CBD Exciting opportunity to lead a multi-skilled policy team undertaking complex research and analysis in the development of integrated energy policy.

This position is part of a multi-skilled policy team which undertakes complex research, stakeholder consultation and analysis to lead and assist in the development of integrated Energy policy.

To fulfil this role, you will have a sound understanding of public policy development as well as a detailed understanding of government processes. You will have strong negotiation and interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain effective strategic relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

As a member of the Office of the Deputy Secretary, you will be highly organised, with a well-developed, systematic and logical approach to problem solving and capacity to build trust through consistent values, actions and communication.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Qualifications in a relevant discipline would be desirable.
  • An understanding of the processes and levers that apply to government is essential.

This is a fixed term position until 30 June 2022.
