About the role:

The Administrative / Property Officer position provides a vital function to all units across Victoria Police. This position will be based out of Southern Metro Region, Division Two with initial training at Chelsea Police Complex. This role is regarded as an essential part of the team as it assists in all administrative and property functions for all units within the complex. The position is responsible for providing an effective service delivery to ensure that Sworn Police Officers can continue their work on the frontline in an environment where there is an ever-increasing demand upon police service delivery.

Your duties will include:

  • Receive, record, and distribute mail and correspondence.
  • Provide general office support tasks, including the operation and maintenance of office equipment and ordering for the station or work unit.
  • Undertake the preparation, maintenance and management of various confidential records and registers which can be manual and electronic.
  • Be actively involved in providing daily administrative / property support within a busy complex.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • (1) x Part Time (0.80 FTE or 60.80 Hours Per Fortnight) Fixed Term Position (Current to 01/08/2021).
  • The position is part-time, 60.80 Hours Per Fortnight (0.80 FTE) with an estimated salary of $43,156.80 p.a.
  • Initial training for this role will be provided at Chelsea Police Complex (312 Station Street, Chelsea VIC 3196).
  • Please be advised that after the completion of training the successful applicant may be required to work at any of the following locations within Southern Metro Region Division Two; Moorabbin Police Complex, Chelsea Police Complex, Mordialloc Police Complex, Cheltenham Police Complex, Bayside Police Complex and Caulfield Police Complex.
  • The incumbent will be required to complete the OHS requirements of the organisation, which may include local level training relating to equipment usage and Hazardous Chemicals.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
