Vegetable Chef

A unique opportunity has become available for a Vegetable Chef to join our Food Services Team at Wimmera Health Care Group. Reporting to the Food Services Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for the preparation, cooking and presentation of a broad range of vegetables for patients, residents and clients of Wimmera Health Care Group according to individual dietary requirements.


Key Selection Criteria include:


Essential:



  • Experience in a similar role

  • Ability to manage and organise own time in order to meet deadlines

  • Effective communication skills

  • Strong knowledge of food hygiene and cleanliness standards for a Food Services environment (Knowledge of HACCP)

  • Demonstrated experience in cleaning procedures and the use of cleaning products within a kitchen environment

  • A demonstrated understanding of food and beverage operations

  • An appreciation of the importance of nutrition to patient and residential care

  • A willingness and ability to work positively within a team environment


Desirable:



  • Trade certificate (chef qualifications)
