About the role:

The Operations Group is looking for an experienced candidate to lead the Operations Performance team until December 2022. Based in Leederville and reporting to the General Manager - Operations Group, this role will be responsible for leading the Business Unit in the provision of operational strategies, continuous improvement initiatives, operational contract management and operational assurance services to achieve Operational Excellence across the Group. The position will develop talent to become next generation leaders and technical experts benefiting the broader Corporation and industry sector.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consistent visible leadership in support of safety
  • Be an active contributor to the Operations Group Leadership Team
  • Contribute as a member of the Water Corporation’s senior management team to the development and execution of business strategy and business improvement
  • Manage the relationships and internal processes to effectively engage with internal key stakeholders, ensuring alignment to and achievement of Corporate objectives
  • Accountable for the delivery of field service activities; working with Metering, Commercial & Industrial services to ensure commercial and customer strategic outcomes are achieved in alignment to Corporate objectives
  • Visibly lead, engage and support team members and foster a spirit of teamwork and unity that delivers high performance
  • Establish and maintain relevant controls and processes to assure quality, safety & risk

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you will be degree level qualified in Engineering or an appropriate discipline with substantial experience and demonstrated capability in a leadership role involving change management accountability and driving organisational excellence in a large service organisation.

Proactive and with a future thinking mindset the successful candidate will have proven experience in planning, organising, managing and reporting functional activities to deliver organisational outcomes. Experience in developing and enhancing internal and external stakeholder relationships is key to this role.
