The Team
The Geraldton Regional Office is responsible for the coordination of Catholic Education Office services in the Geraldton diocese and school along with community liaison. The Administrative Assistant plays a key role in the smooth running of the Catholic Education Geraldton Regional Office.
The Role
This is a full-time (during school term only) ongoing position commencing as soon as possible.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
Provide Administrative assistance to the Regional Officer Geraldton and Geraldton Regional Office personnel including but not limited to:
  • Prepare and manage documents including letters, reports and spreadsheets.
  • Organisation of meetings and workshops, including registrations and catering.
  • Managing office facilities.
  • General Office duties – filing, shredding, photocopying.
  • Managing the record system for all incoming communications.
  • Collect and distribute mail.
  • Computer Skills – Microsoft Office, Set up of AV equipment for event
Assist with financial management including:
  • Banking.
  • Cheque reconciliation.
  • Compiling of weekly financial statements for CEWA Perth.
  • Maintain accurate, balanced and up-to-date financial records, including Petty Cash.
  • Payment of accounts.
  • Reception duties including answering and directing phone calls, attending to general enquiries, and provision of amenities for visitors, staff and visiting consultants.
  • Organisation of travel
  • Assist in the Co-ordination of the St Patrick’s Site

Job Requirements:

Your Background
  • Well-developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills including a professional, courteous and helpful telephone manner.
  • Knowledge of standard office procedures including reception, travel booking, meeting preparation and office equipment.
  • Proficient computer skills particular with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook.
