Your new company

Hays are proud to be partnering exclusively for a distinguished national property developer who are renowned for their premium mix-use and commercial portfolio with geographically positioned landmarks. They have began to build a presence within the emerging Build to Rent (BTR) sector, which has created a rare opportunity for an experienced Leasing Manager to manage all leasing responsibilities for a high density A-grade BTR development. With further developments of similar nature approaching completion, the position will evolve, allowing the successful candidate the opportunity to build a team and manage the department.

Your new role

The Leasing Manager will report directly to the General Manager and will have responsibilities across all BTR assets. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Leasing & Lease Administration
  • Customer Service & Administration
  • Marketing & Community
  • Facilities Management
  • Finance & Finance Reporting
  • WHS & Governance Reporting & Management
  • Leadership & People Management
  • Show apartments and process applications for prospective residents, generate new leases at the highest effective rent possible and achieve monthly sales quotas
  • Develops and implements short- and long-term marketing plans and goals to sustain occupancy, and implements creative strategies around pricing, concessions, leasing incentives, and advertising to boost traffic and lease
  • Some weekend work required (on a rotational basis)
  • Handle and coordinate all details of move-ins and move-outs with the broader team


What you'll need to succeed

  • 5+ years of relevant property leasing or sales experience
  • Real Estate Agent's Licence or Agent's Representative qualifications preferred
  • 3+ years in a management/leadership capacity
  • Previous experience within student accommodation, build to rent or hotels
  • Strong communication skills: written and verbal
  • Strong reporting, target setting/achieving and budgeting ability
  • Analytical and strategic thinker
  • Numerically competent
  • Strong knowledge of the property market and key participants
