ALFA (NT) Limited is seeking a highly experienced Bush Fire Project Officer to advise and support Aboriginal ranger groups in Arnhem Land who are operating registered Savanna Burning projects.
ALFA (NT) Limited is an Aboriginal owned, not for profit carbon business working in partnership with Traditional Landowners and Aboriginal ranger groups over more than 80,000 km2 of Arnhem Land. ALFA is the registered project proponent for five fire projects which generate Australian Carbon Credit Units (ACCUs) through the Savanna Burning Methodology.
ALFA (NT) Limited employs a Bush Fire Project Officer to advise and support the on-ground fire operations of nine Indigenous ranger groups and Traditional Landowners in the fire project areas. This position plays a critical role for these ranger groups in the operation of their fire projects. In particular, the position enables the groups to maintain and grow their capacity within this new and growing carbon industry.
