Job Description

Reporting to the Manager Marketing and Sales this Senior Performance Marketing Officer is responsible for customer acquisition, the development, implementation, monitoring and optimisation of the digital marketing strategy across multiple channels, all associated specialised platforms (including the Lotterywest web site and mobile app), artefacts and the coordination of various external and internal suppliers. The role also leads the development and management of owned digital channels and user experience, content and asset standards. The role has the following key areas of focus:

  • Digital Platform Currency and Optimization
  • Digital Marketing Strategy
  • Performance Marketing
  • Digital & Social Channel Management and Operations
  • Digital customer experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the operations of digital customer experience across owned & paid digital assets, ensuring currency, appropriateness, correctness and completeness of all published content
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of the digital marketing strategy and standards, their alignment with the brand and marketing strategies, the technology roadmap, to agreed time, quality, cost and revenue targets
  • Responsible for player acquisition and sales across digital channels via performance marketing and DMP management using, but not limited to SEM, display and social channels
  • Responsible for the development of social media platform publishing standards and their alignment with industry best practice, the marketing strategy and corporate communications activities and priorities
  • Responsible for the scoping and the integration of all digital marketing activities; develops and monitors measurement and performance metrics; and keeps abreast of latest trends and innovations in respective platforms
  • Leads and manages effective relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders and key suppliers and agencies in facilitating the implementation of campaigns and initiatives through owned and paid digital activities to agreed timeframes, budgets and quality standards
  • Responsible for the quality, timely, effective and efficient delivery of digital services to all internal and external customers and the promotion of a team culture driven by excellence
  • Manages the Digital Marketing budget, planning, resource prioritisation, reporting, procurement, contractual, legislative, legal and risk management requirements
  • Leads the development, review and continuous improvement of all relevant processes, ensures they are up to date and is responsible for all change and configuration control activities across all owned digital channels and associated assets
  • Undertakes other duties as required

Mandatory/Special Role Requirements

Selection Criteria

  1. Significant hands-on experience in leading the customer-centric development of owned digital channels, digital marketing and/or ecommerce and associated tools
  2. Specialised knowledge of SEM, Display, Video, Data Analytics, Digital CRM, Conversion Rate Optimisation best practices and below the line investment attribution and analysis
  3. Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of key digital channel metrics and investment attribution analysis
  4. Demonstrated experience in project management of complex projects and/or sponsorship of cross-functional change initiatives
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and manage relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholders
  6. Excellent communication skills including the ability to confidently present messages in a clear, concise and articulate manner and work collaboratively across teams and with relevant stakeholders
