This is a unique opportunity that will involve you communicating with a wide range of customers and stakeholders on the full range of transport related enquiries. This is a varied and exciting role in which no two days are the same. You will provide education and ensure compliance in respect of maritime and boating safety, including the issuing of infringement notices and caution. In addition to the marine elements of this role, your focus will also be community engagement and ensuring education, compliance and safety on the On-demand Transport industry. You will therefore you will be required to undertake travel throughout the South West region to present at schools and clubs on safety, conduct vessel checks and undertake safety inspections.

This position is all about delivering excellent customer service and ensuring the WA community have safe and reliable transport services.

To undertake this position, you are required to hold a ‘C’ class driving licence. You must also hold a Marine Certificate of Competency (Coxswain’s Grade 2).

This is a pool recruitment process and therefore you may join us on a full-time, part-time, fixed term or permanent basis. The recruitment pool will remain open for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of first appointment. There is currently one (1) permanent position available for immediate filling.

We need someone who can

  • Work weekends and public holidays, in particular the busy summer period.
  • Be positive and adaptable to the changing needs of the business
  • Demonstrate great team working capability
  • Manage conflict effectively to ensure resolution
  • Build and maintain positive, collaborative and productive working relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of On-demand Transport and Maritime State legislation and related issues

Successful applicants will be required to hold or obtain a current National Police Clearance prior to commencement.
