We are looking for a passionate fundraiser and enthusiastic communicator to grow income in support of BirdLife Australia’s mission to stop extinctions and enhance the future of Australia’s birds and their habitats. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for building loyalty and commitment from high value supporters who have donated between $1,000 – $10,000 as well as promoting bequests to existing and potential supporters.

The High Value Donor and Gifts in Wills Coordinator will develop and manage stewardship and engagement plans across multiple channels and design and implement key supporter communications.

Reporting to the Individual and Community Giving Lead and working closely with them alongside the Communications, Engagement and Development team, you’ll assist with developing strategies to nurture and increase support from existing High Value donors and bequest supporters as well as acquiring new donors and identifying Major Gift prospects.

You will do this by:

• Developing and implementing stewardship activities to deepen engagement and exceed fundraising income targets
• Gifts in Wills program planning and management of supporter and solicitor enquires
• Coordinating supporter journey communications including welcome cycle, updates, and uplift opportunities
• Promoting a philanthropic culture and program across the organisation
• Working with the leadership team and Communications, Engagement and Development team members to ensure the best possible experience for donors
