The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Workshop Technician to join the Service Department at our Welshpool branch. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the purpose of the role is to carry out maintenance and repairs on mobile equipment and ensure excellent customer service. The role plays an integral part in ensuring high levels of safety, quality and efficiency are given to the Service Department.
Key Responsibilities
The successful person will be able to demonstrate an appropriate level of technical understanding specialising in Komatsu construction and utility equipment. You will be responsible for machine assembly, diagnostics and service repairs, as well as testing and adjusting of machine operation and monitoring systems utilising relevant literature and testing equipment.
Additionally, work will involve following job scope and critical path. The role requires the ability to generate technical reports such as service reports, TSI & warranty claims using Komserv.
The role may require occasional field service work to provide maintenance support to various customers.
The Knowledge, Skills And Abilities We’re Looking For
- Relevant Trade Certificate in Heavy Vehicle Mobile Plant (Plant Mechanic)
- Demonstrated knowledge and technical understanding of Komatsu equipment groups
- Current Driver’s Licence (minimum requirements)
- Auto Electrical experience, qualifications and diagnostic skills will be highly regarded
- A demonstrated commitment to safety with the ability to work in remote areas and unsupervised
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and good understanding of computer systems
- Original Equipment Manufacturer experience, particularly with Komatsu equipment will be highly regarded
