Reporting to the Finance Manager and part of a well established team this role will be primarily responsible for monitoring, accounting, reporting and analysis of business activity related to derivatives, hedging and financial instruments.

Key Responsibilities;

• Oversee the treasury accounting clearing and cash reconciliation process with the assistance of the team.
• Accounting and reporting the accounting activity related to the company’s financial instruments (derivatives, commodity hedges, etc.)
• Assist with annual audit work papers and audit report preparation.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of proposed accounting standard changes.
• Perform tests to evaluate eligibility for effective hedge treatment.
• Assist in ad-hoc projects when required.
• Assist in the evaluation and implementation of derivative accounting and reporting standards.

Key Requirements;

• Degree in Accounting or similar field.
• CA/CPA qualified.
• Ability to adhere to monthly, quarterly and annual department driven deadlines.
• Previous experience with hedge/derivatives accounting.
• Experience in energy industry preferred, but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills – able to work effectively in a team environment.
