Compliance and Risk Officer

The Finance Risk business unit of the Department of Parliamentary Services is seeking a customer focused, motivated and pro-active candidate for the role of Compliance and Risk Officer. The Compliance and Risk Officer will conduct compliance checks for claims made by Members of Parliament and will bring a customer focused approach to providing high level and authoritative advice to Members of Parliament on legislative requirements of the Victorian Independent Remuneration Tribunal and Improving Parliamentary Standards Act 2019 and guidelines issued by the Victorian Independent Remuneration Tribunal. In addition, this role will coordinate information and liaise with all business units of Parliament to update and maintain the risk register and provide associated reports. The role will also assist Parliament's business units with tendering through the administration of tendering system and relevant contract templates.

You will bring excellent organisational and relationship management skills, strong administrative skills, an ability to contribute proactively to a variety of large and small projects and have proficiency with software programs and business applications. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate attributes that model our values especially noting that a proven ability to maintain confidentiality and being impartial and apolitical are key requirements of this role.
