The Opportunity

A challenging and rewarding opportunity has arisen for a Warranty Specialist to join our National Warranty department located in Fairfield NSW. Reporting to the Warranty Manager, this role will be responsible for managing and processing Komatsu Warranty claims for all products within Australia, New Zealand and New Caledonia. The role is integral to the compliance of local and global warranty terms and conditions which drive the factory recoveries and minimise the impact to our Customers and business by being meticulous in detail with a proactive approach.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Maintain compliance to the global Service Policy & Procedures Manual (SPPM) and the KAL warranty policies and procedures
  • Maximise factory recovery rates (>85%) and case to claim recovery rates
  • Manage the warranty claim invoicing process to ensure invoices are processed within Factory guidelines
  • Manage tracking and distribution of warranty credits back to branches
  • Manage warranty reports in Komserv and ensure they are actioned through warranty cases in Dynamics
  • Maintain the highest level of accuracy for all claims within area of responsibility
  • Support business in its efforts to streamline Warranty processes through development of digital innovations to remove regional administration workloads
  • Ensure constructive and timely communication with the branches, factories and other stakeholders at all times to ensure that all claims are completed in full within the set timeframe guidelines set within the Warranty process
  • Ability to use technical and analytical skills to evaluate data in order to design and coordinate an appropriate response
  • Involvement in improvement projects including defining, documenting and implementing of warranty processes, procedures and reporting

  • Strong and professional communication skills in a variety of mediums

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of the heavy equipment business and products
  • Experience using claim processing systems
  • Thorough knowledge of IT systems and Microsoft products, strong understanding of warranty processes and parts interpreting software
