JOB DESCRIPTION

Maxima has been engaged to recruit an experienced Corporate Procurement Officer for their client in Logan. This role will see you working 38 hours per week on a temp assignment from 1st March - 2nd July 2021 with an hourly rate of $39.24 + super (negotiable on experience).

This position deals with a large volume of purchase orders, order amendments, credit cards etc. as such a high attention to detail and good analytics are required to understand issues and problem solve.

The Role:

  • Support the delivery of high-quality purchasing and procurement services
  • Responsible for providing administrative and technical procurement support and advice, ensuring that all procurement requests are actioned in a timely manner
  • Updating registers, policy and procedures where applicable
  • Undertake the purchase order release and print function to ensure all orders are raised
  • Oversee the corporate credit card end to end process to ensure relevant policies, procedures and audits are maintained
  • Develop, maintain and record all relevant procurement and disposal information
  • Provide detailed reporting on different catalogue types

To be Successful:

  • Diploma of Governance (Procurement and Contracting) or similar, highly regarded
  • Exposure to basic RFQ (Request for Quote) processes
  • Excellent interpersonal / stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with or a keen eye for process improvement
  • Previous procurement experience
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of advice regarding procurement, relevant policies and processes, and application of procurement strategies, legislation and procedures within a large organisation or a government entity
  • A thorough understanding of procurement cataloguing and the ability to apply these principles across a broad range of procurement categories
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of Disposal of assets, and proven ability to conduct supplier research, evaluate options, formulate recommendations and maintain confidentiality
  • Experience in the operation and maintenance of a Finance or Procurement Software system (such as Technology 1) with the ability to provide operational support to the organisation
