Who are we?

Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) is a unique cross-border public health service and the largest regional health service between Sydney and Melbourne. We support an outer catchment population of 250,000 throughout North-East VIC and Southern NSW, with a dedicated team of over 2,600 staff. The Opportunity 

Albury Wodonga Health requires a Public Health Unit Administration Assistant to join our newly formed Vaccination Clinic forming part of the newly formed Local Public Health Unit (LPHU). Work has commenced in appointing support roles and in establishing the LPHU, which is an important stepping stone in the development of a stronger, more decentralised public health system in the AWH Region.

The Public Health Administration Assistant (PHAA), under the direction of the Public Health Administration Team Leader and will be responsible for data input, extraction and reporting for the AWH Health PHU, as well as provide high level customer service to all clients of this service and internal and external stakeholders. The PHAA will work closely with the PHU Administrative & Support Manager, Program Leads and Team Leaders and all staff working within the PHU as well as key stakeholders in providing an integrated catchment wide service response.

The PHAA works closely with the PHU team and key stakeholders to provide an integrated catchment wide service response. The PHAA liaises with PHU Vaccination team in ensuring data integrity/accuracy is of a high standard.

The AWH LPHU coordinates the public health response across five local government areas in the upper Hume region including Wodonga, Wangaratta, Alpine, Towong and Indigo. Establishment of the Public Health Unit (PHU) is part of a state-wide restructure of public health delivery in Victoria.

This role is Casual for 6 months.
