About Us

Luke and Holly Priddis started the Luke Priddis Foundation in 2006 after their third child, Cooper, was diagnosed with Autism. The Foundation aims to improve the lives of individuals living on the Autism Spectrum. The Luke Priddis Foundation Centre for Autism opened its doors in 2016 and currently provides Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy and Psychology and Behaviour Support services to individuals across the lifespan.

At the Luke Priddis Foundation Centre for Autism, we believe in providing and promoting understanding as well as support for people with developmental differences. We aim to deliver a range of complimentary health, welfare, and therapeutic services within a safe, collaborative and respectful environment. The Luke Priddis Foundation raises awareness in the community about Autism and its impact by providing four public events per year.

The Role

This role is for a temporary part time Events Intern. In this role, you will work with sponsors, donors, venue managers and the LPF team to deliver an events calendar that aims to raise awareness of Autism and fundraise for support services through four events per year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working as part of a small not for profit team to provide events to promote Autism awareness and raise funds for much needed services for families
  • Supporting LPF to deliver exciting and positive events enjoyed by a wide variety of community members
  • Support our event coordinator to deliver four on time, and on budget events
  • Assisting community members to understand and promote strengths of individuals on the Autism Spectrum.

About You –

You’re likely a current marketing / events management student looking for guided experience in events management. Additionally, you’re:

  • passionate about making a difference to families in Western Sydney
  • interested in helping individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder to live their best life
  • proactive, committed, and good at organising public events
  • excellent at managing your time and getting things done as part of a team
  • self-motivated and reliable with a strong professional presence to uphold LPF’s values of Respect, Excellence, Compassion, Innovation, Integrity and Teamwork

In addition, you have the following skills and attributes:

Essential skills, experience & qualifications:

  • Studying event management
  • Highly motivated and passionate about supporting children and adults with Autism
  • Demonstrated experience in organising and delivering events
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with other donors sponsors and venue managers.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Current NDIS Worker Check, including a NSW Working with Children check and police clearance for paid employment.

Desirable criteria:

  • Current valid NSW driver's licence and use of own vehicle.
  • First Aid certificate
