We are advertising this role for a valued Client who has reached the exciting and strategic point in their growth where a full-time HR support to the management and people of the business has been firmly established.

Our Client’s Story

They are a civils contractor based in Perth, Western Australia and have an experienced team who have worked in the civil infrastructure, commercial, industrial and mining sectors on a wide variety of construction projects. They might be a ‘young name’ compared to others, but they already hold a solid reputation within Perth’s leading Construction companies for delivering quality services safely and on time.

The Role

This is a hands-on role that will be given a broad autonomy to establish and improve their human resources framework: from meeting basic compliance obligations to establishing strategic capabilities such as stronger engagement, rewards and development of their people.

You do not need experience in the sectors they work in as long as you have formal qualifications in HR and can demonstrate, over the last 5-7 years, a thoughtful approach to how you solve people problems and demonstrate skills and knowledge such as:

  • advising on a company’s legislated employment obligations
  • contributing to strategic workforce planning
  • creating the foundations and conditions of employment for a business or project that work *in practice*
  • managing the entire employee lifecycle in a hands-on role (from end-to-end to recruitment through to termination or promotion)
  • coaching managers in their people problems
