Graduate Environmental Consultant - Contaminated Sites


Are you just starting out your career as an Environmental Scientist or Environmental Engineer? We’re looking for an early career consultant to support project delivery within our Contaminated Sites Team. If you have a Science degree (e.g. geology, chemistry, hydrogeology) or Environmental Engineering and would like to work with a first-class consulting team, we’d like to hear from youThis is a permanent and fulltime position.


By joining our WA operation, Strategen-JBS&G, you’ll be part of a close-knit team in our Perth office and part of a wider team with a national presence. You’ll have ample opportunity for career advancement gaining valuable professional exposure with support and mentoring.

Some of the work you’ll be doing includes:

  • Fieldwork assessment (soil, sediment, groundwater, vapour, landfill gas, remediation maintenance infrastructure).
  • Investigation and management of hazardous materials and acid sulfate soils.
  • Health, Safety and Environmental management.
  • Data input, presentation and interpretation.
  • Engagement and communication with team members, clients and contractors (e.g. drillers).
  • Preparation of environmental reports.


To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

  • Understanding of Contaminated Sites related guidelines.
  • Good comprehension of contamination assessment remediation applications.
  • Good fieldwork capability, sometimes at remote sites with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary team.
  • An interest in building networks.
  • Professionalism and responsiveness.
  • Strong analytical, writing, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Good fieldwork capability, sometimes at remote sites with minimal supervision.
  • A driver’s licence.


Previous contaminated sites investigation and remediation experience is desirable but not essential.
