Open Automations is a successful start-up business, with head office based in Melbourne. The business has ambitious growth plans to develop across Australia and currently is working in partnership with companies, Hafele and Geze. Open Automations core business is the supply, installation and service of high-quality Automatic Swing and Sliding Door Systems.


Reporting to the Operations Manager based in Melbourne, your role will be to install new automatic doors, service, maintain and troubleshoot issues that may arise from various issues such as general wear and tear. You will also be responsible for commissioning, servicing, maintaining, and enhancing building automation systems and associated equipment.

Open Automations strive to exceed client's expectations with excellent customer service in a professional, clean and timely manner.

Open Automations are growing and are looking to bring on 2 newly created roles and are ideally looking for an experienced Electrician (with REL) to join the team. 

The role will be primarily working on site at client locations across the Perth area, however there will be times whereby you will be required to work from the office or your home.


After initial interstate training during your onboarding, you will work independently in a team of two in Perth, however you will form part of a larger national team across Australia. Your positive attitude and professional approach will ensure our customers' needs are met and your work is to the exact requirements. You will need to have good problem-solving skills and have a desire to learn and resolve technical issues.

Skills and experience

  • Relevant experience within the construction industry
  • Experience within the Auto Door/Security Industry, advantage - not essential
  • Strong problem-solving skills, both mechanically and electronically
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Great attitude to facing challenges onsite
  • Ability to work autonomously as part of a national team
  • Full or restricted WA electrical licence
  • Communications/Data Cabler Registration
  • Current WA Drivers Licence

Due to nature of the role and the customers of Open Automations, you must be able to pass an Agents Licence, National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
