JOB DESCRIPTION

Multiple opportunities are currently available for hands-on Assessment Officers to join Heritage’s highly supportive Credit Operations team for a 6-month contract.


  • Autonomous assessment and verification role with full ownership of portfolio and overall outcomes
  • Flexible location – Toowoomba or Brisbane with work from home opportunities
  • Multiple full time 6-month contracts


About the role:

This role provides an opportunity to work with our broker partners and the branch network to ensure that we meet the financial goals of our members, whilst also actively embracing and contributing to the continuous improvement culture of the Credit Operations team. You will join a long-standing team who are highly engaged in growing team productivity and success - where everyone chips in to get the job done and have a laugh along the way. 


About you:

You will have the opportunity to refine your existing skills in order to provide a proactive approach to securing quality lending applications. You will utilise your commercial acumen and experience to work with our key stakeholders to identify solutions that are mutually beneficial to the customer and to Heritage Bank. You will never be bored in this role – you will be a "doer," responsible for a range of tasks including:

  • Working collaboratively in either the Home Loan or Personal Loan Teams, effectively assisting both Broker and Branch stakeholders.
  • Complete the end-to-end assessment, verification and finalisation of either home loan or personal loan applications, in conjunction with policy and risk requirements
  • Consistently achieve KPIs and maintaining Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Autonomously managing a portfolio of home loan applications, utilising highly-developed time management skills
  • Delivering an exceptional member experience through the effective use of accurate, timely and collaborative correspondence
  • Effectively contributing to a proactive and positive team culture


Whilst lending experience is a requirement of the role, the position may not hold a delegated lending authority. All assessments will also remain subject to policy-compliant quality assurance reviews.


Location:

This role can be based in either our Toowoomba Head Office or in our Brisbane office. The successful candidate must be willing to embrace a flexible approach to onboarding and work location given the current social distancing requirements, and may be required to work from home. An established and ergonomically suitable home office is an essential requirement to be considered for the positions.
